for the Entire Performance

The TIJ‘s performance of the Beethoven Zyklus that began in late March with the arrival of the cherry blossoms has been successfully concluded with the magnificent “Missa Solemnis”, a religious piece at the end.

This memorable achievement, the first in Japan, is characterised by Takeharu NOBUHARA’s most rigorous, unflinching adherence to the classical instruments in his quest for reproducing the performance, the instruments and the audience’s reaction during the lifetime of Beethoven. Takeharu NOBUHARA’s attempt has aroused interests in various fields. The entire programmes have been successfully completed, thanks to the warmest expectation, support and encouragement of all.  TIJ members have become more and more enthused at the turn of each performance. We firmly believe that the valuable experience gained through Beethoven Zyklus endeavour has consolidated the TIJ‘s foundation for future activities.
